The Pledge and Plant A Tree Program is organized by the Majlis Perbandaran Kulim (MPKK) in
collaboration with the Malaysian Institute Planners (MIP) at Persisiran Sungai Jarak, Industrial zone
Phase 4. As part of the sponsorship organizations, we are invited to join in the programme. There are
about 600 trees were planted by all of us who joined the programme. The programme was officiated by
Yang DiPertua Majlis Perbandaran Kulim, Tn. Hj. Rohaizad Bin Hj. Rashid.
The program will also inculcate the nature of love for the environment and provide understanding in the
community's interaction with the Government Agency. Planting tree can also reduce soil erosion during
heavy rains. There was also some activities provided by MPKK for the invitees such as Colouring Contest
for Children, Exhibition Booth and Garden Products Sales.
